We are an American/Turkish couple currently based in Istanbul. In the five years since we came to Turkey from New York, we have had upwards of 50 of our dear friends and family visit us from all over the world. Each time, we strove to offer our guests an authentic experience, if as much for our benefit as theirs (in the same way a New Yorker might want to avoid visiting the Statue of Liberty repeatedly.) Instead, putting our backgrounds in the hospitality industry to good use, we organized extensive and detailed tours of Turkey’s hidden treasures - the bohemian boutique hotels, pristine turquoise coves, and remote fishing villages.
Obviously we were never short of visitors! As much as we might have liked to attribute it to being very, very popular, when our friends and family began referring their friends and family to us, we realized there was a demand for our insider knowledge and tailored itineraries.

Siamo una coppia turco/statunitense, attualmente residente a Istanbul. Nei cinque anni da quando ci siamo traferiti in Turchia da New York, abbiamo ci hanno fatto visita oltre 50 nostri cari amici e le loro famiglie da tutto il mondo. Ogni volta, ci siamo impegnati per offrire loro un’esperienza autentica, tanto per loro quanto per noi stessi (nello stesso modo in cui un newyorkese potrebbe non aver voglia di visitare più volte la Statua della Libertà). Invece, mettendo a frutto le nostre esperienze nel settore dell’ospitalità, abbiamo organizzato ampi e approfonditi tour alla scoperta dei tesori nascosti della Turchia: i piccoli hotel bohémien, le spiagge appartate dalle acque color turchese e i remoti villaggi di pescatori.
Naturalmente non eravamo mai a corto di ospiti! Per quanto ci sarebbe piaciuto attribuirlo al fatto di essere molto, molto popolari, quando i nostri amici e le loro famiglie hanno cominciato a mandarci a loro volta i loro amici con le famiglie, ci siamo resi conto che esisteva una domanda per la nostra conoscenza del paese, nonché di itinerari su misura.
